You Can Learn How To Coach Soccer!
Dear Fellow Soccer Coach,
It can be difficult learning how to coach soccer. You do not have
the experience or the knowledge to teach your team to play better
and be more successful. You know that your team needs to pass
better, but you don’t have the knowledge to teach your team how
to do it right. You don’t want to see your team work hard at practice,
and then get beat week after week. I know what you’re going through,
because I have been there myself.
I’ve
felt the frustration of knowing that there were things that I should
be teaching my players to help them preform better, but not know
what those things were. I watched my players chase after the ball
without knowing how to get them understand what they should be doing
differently. What I wanted most of all was for someone to give me
a starting point that I could build on. I wanted to learn how to
coach soccer in a way that would help my kids develop into better
players. The great thing is, you can learn what you need to know
to learn how to coach soccer. You can learn how to get your team
playing more effectively and winning those close games they used
to lose.
Yes, Jim! I want to learn how to be a better Youth
Soccer Coach!

It starts with understanding where to start, and what skills
are the most important to focus on. That is why I have put together
this email mini-course. In this course you will learn:
* Why it is critical that you keep your players active throughout
your practices. * The 3 main ball holding skills your players must learn to be
effective. * The correct way your players should dribble the ball so they
stay in control. * The most important dribbling skills a young player needs to
learn. * How to your players should receive the ball so it stay in their
control. * How to protect the ball from the defenders once a player gets
control of the ball.
Did you know that although many coaches spend a lot of time trying
to teach their players advanced ball handling skills, they ignore
the fact that the best players in the world rely on only 3 ball
handling skills 90% of the time. If you can teach your players
how to use these 3 skills well, thee will be able to outplay many
of their opponents, and will be able to consistently dribble through
defenses. You will also learn:
* The 2 biggest reasons you should concentrate on playing defense. * What are the 2 most important jobs of a defender. * The biggest mistake most young defenders make. * How a defender can make it more difficult for an attacker to
get off a good shot at the goal. * How your defense should play together as a unit to provide pressure,
cover, and balance. * What are the jobs of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd defenders,
Here’s an important thing to remember: If the other team can’t
get off a shop, they will not score. If they do not score, they
will not win. You will also understand how to play offense as a team by understanding:
* What are the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd attackers, and what are their
main jobs? * What is the offensive triangle, and how do you use it? * How to use your offensive players to unbalance a defense, and
pull defenders out of position. * How attackers can spread the defense to create more shot opportunities. * How defensive pressure can take your opponent out of their game
plan.
